Assam Chief Secretary VK Pipersenia, in a meeting with various Investors of Private Institutes/ Universities held on February 13 at the conference hall of the Chief Secretary at Janata Bhawan, urged them to start colleges in the state at the earliest. The names of the prominent Institutes include Techno India University, Amity University, Poshac India Foundation and AISECT.



In the meeting, the Chief Secretary discussed about procurement of land, setting up of universities taking into account the problems on the issues relating to existing building by-laws. He also deliberated at length the need of Infrastructure development of sports in schools and colleges of Assam along with setting up of colleges and universities in every nook and corner of the state.



He also expressed his gratitude to the investors and added that the Government is setting up a Coordination Committee to facilitate them in resolving all issues involved for speedy completion of the projects. The meeting was also attended by Additional Chief Secretary, Finance, VB Pyarelal, Principal Secretary to the Government of Assam UDD, GDD, Ajay Tewari besides other senior officials.
