The diplomatic relation between India and China has further degraded regarding the Doklam standoff. While the current standoff between China and India in Doklam crossed 50 days, in a new editorial on the Doklam standoff, Chinese state-run daily ‘Global Times’ has warned that if Indian troops continue to remain on its soil, “countermeasures from China will be unavoidable.”

The paper also said that the window to peacefully resolve the standoff in Doklam is closing. “The countdown to a clash between the two forces has begun, and the clock is ticking away the time to what seems to be an inevitable conclusion.” China has been demanding immediate pull-out of the Indian troops from the disputed Dokalam plateau.

The editorial titled ‘New Delhi should come to its senses while it has time’, directly blamed India for the standoff in Doklam area in the Sikkim.

Global Times, quoting the Chinese Foreign Ministry said that at least “53 people and a bulldozer from the Indian side remain in Chinese territory as of Monday.”

However, India never paid heed to China’s warnings which have been continuously targeted on India through their National media.
