At a time while the BJP is losing by polls and alliance as TDP quits the NDA, strategies were discussed at the 84th plenary session of the All India Congress Committee (AICC) held on Saturday. The AICC has called for the alliance of political parties to overthrow the BJP in the upcoming 2019 general elections.

The session was organised at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium, New Delhi. The Congress also alleged that Modi’s ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ is nothing but mere drama and tactic.

Congress leader Sonia Gandhi said that the Modi government is weakening the welfare schemes that were initiated by the UPA. “In the past four years, the Modi government has left no stone unturned to destroy Congress but Congress has never cowered down and never will” she added.

Congress President Rahul Gandhi said that the Congress party symbol is the only symbol that can unite the nation and take it forward. He also alleged that the BJP uses anger while the Congress uses love. “This country belongs to everyone and whatever the Congress will do will be for the benefit of all” he said. He added that the nation is tired and is looking for a way out, and only Congress can show the way ahead.
