Guwahati residents woke up to a cold and foggy morning on Tuesday with the maximum temperature reading 22 degree.
The minimum temperature was recorded at 13 degree Celsius, a MeT department official said. Humidity was recorded at 70 per cent at 11 AM.
The sky remained overcast as scattered rains and icy winds swept through the state. Dense fog in large parts of the region affected normal life and disrupted road communications.
Cold wave conditions continue to sweep Assam with many places in interior districts facing one of the coldest days in the recent times.
