The High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) and Assam High Madrasa (AHM) Examinations have begun today across Assam.
Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal greeted the students appearing for the examinations and wished good luck.
“Heartfelt best wishes & blessings to all the students appearing for HSLC, AHM & HSSLC examinations,” Sonowal tweeted.
A total 3,80,665 students – 1,88,263 males and 1,92,402 females – are going to take HSLC examinations and 10,547 students – 4,818 males and 5729 females – are going to take the Assam High Madrassa examinations.
Eighty-three of the 855 examination centres in the State have been detected as sensitive. Besides the promulgation of 144 CrPC in areas of examination centres, each of the centres is under CCTV surveillance.
Carrying of unauthorized and suspected objects, mobile phones, and electronic devices by the examinees to the examination hall have been banned.
