S S Rajamouli’s Bahubali 2 has become first Indian film to cross Rs. 1000 crore mark worldwide. Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Ramya Krishnan, Tamannaah Bhatia, Sathyaraj, Nassar starrer period epic has crossed the previous highest grosser Aamir Khan’s Dangal to make the biggest milestone.

Out of Rs. 1000 crore of the drama fantasy, Rs. 800 crore has come from Indian theatres, and the rest from overseas.

Realising the Rs. 1000 crore poster, Karan Johar tweeted “The biggest milestone has been reached by the biggest blockbuster of Indian cinema.”

The Hindi version of the film has collected Rs 344.25 crore in 11 days and has beaten Aamir Khan’s PK to emerge as the second highest grossing Hindi film after Dangal.

Impressed by Baahubali 2’s huge performance at the box office, Union Minister Rajyavardhan Rathore has also congratulated the team Bahubali 2 for setting new standards and making India proud.
