BCCI has announced 15 member squad for the ICC champions trophy 2017 to be held in England. Rohit Sharma is declared fit and included in the team, while KL Rahul missed out due to injury.
 
Shikhar Dhawan, Mohammed Shami and Manish Pandey also make a comeback in the team led by Virat Kohli.
 
The other members of the team are MS Dhoni, Ajinkya Rahane, Yuvraj Singh, Kedar Jadhav, Hardik Pandya, R. Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Umesh Yadav, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Japrit Bumrah.
 
Premier off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, who has skipped the IPL owing to a sports hernia injury, has been included in the squad.
 
Veteran opener Gautam Gambhir, who has been performing well in the IPL, was not even discussed.
 
India had missed the squad announcement deadline of April 25 due to revenue sharing issues with the International Cricket Council. But at the Special General Meeting yesterday, BCCI took a decision to send the team to Champions Trophy.
 
India, the defending champions, are in Group B with Pakistan, South Africa and Sri Lanka. It begins campaign against Pakistan on June 4 at Edgbaston.
