A total 1.02 lakh of people have been excluded from the draft National Register of Citizens or NRC as they were included in the additional draft exclusion list published today. However, claim and objections have not been included here.
These names figured in the draft citizens’ list that was released in July last year. These names were subsequently found ineligible for inclusion.
These people will be informed individually through letters to be delivered at their residential addresses. The excluded people will have the chance to file their claims at the designated NRC help centres by July 11.
The additional list will contain only the names of those persons who figured in the complete draft NRC published on 30th July, 2018 but were found ineligible for inclusion due to any reason including DV (Doubtful Voter) or DF (Declared Foreigner) or PFT (person with cases pending at Foreigners Tribunals) or those, who were found ineligible during hearings held for disposal of Claims & Objections.
