127 Road Accidents Reported in Assam on Diwali

Amidst the Diwali celebrations in the state, 127road accidents took place, according to the data provided by Mrityunjay 108.

These 127 numbers of accidents attended by Mrityunjay during the festive season of Diwali. According to the data, Kamrup (M) and Kamrup topped the list with 16 cases each followed by Dhemaji (13), Barpeta (10), Sonitpur (8), Lakhimpur, Nalbari and Golaghat recorded with seven accidents each while Jorhat, Sivasagar, Dhubri and Baksa have five cases each. Dibrugarh and Nagaon recorded with four accidents while Bongaigaon and Goalpara have three cases each. Udalguri, Cachar and Chirang district recorded with two accidents each while Kokrajhar, Darrang, and Tinsukia have one case each.

On the other hand, Mrityunjay 108 received 17 number of bun cases on the auspicious festival and Udalguri topped the list with six burn cases followed by Kamrup (M) with three, Kamrup, Jorhat, and Dibrugarh with two cases each and Lakhimpur and Sonitpur with one case each.

These are only the cases that are attended by Mrityunjay 108. This reveals that more than 150 cases of accidents occurred in the festive season of Diwali in the state.
