Two rhinoceros calved were found dead at the Pobitora sanctuary in Morigaon.
The two deaths occurred within the same week.
According to the Forest Department, the rhino calf, who was rescued on Monday, was injured in a head-on collision and later succumbed to its injuries.
The estimated age of the two dead calves is one year.
