In yet another incident of a mass shooting, gunmen walked into a crowded shopping Mall in El Passo, Texas a town near the Mexican border and indiscriminately opened fire killing 20 people before he was arrested.
The incident happed shoppers at a packed Walmart store in ElPaso, Texas on Saturday. "Twenty innocent people from El Paso have losttheir lives," Texas Governor Greg Abbott told a press conference. "Weas a state unite in support of these victims and their family members… Wepray that God can be with those who have been harmed in any way and bind uptheir wounds."
In addition to the 20 confirmed fatalities, there were 26wounded, El Paso Police Chief Greg Allen confirmed that. Authorities in Texasare investigating the mass shooting as a possible hate crime, the police chiefsaid. A 21-year-old white male suspect from Allen, a suburb of Dallas,surrendered to police outside the store after the rampage.
El Paso, on the border with Mexico, has a majority Hispanicpopulation.
