Four people died and almost seven injured in three different blasts that took place in Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal on Sunday.
Improvised or crude explosive devices are suspected to have been used in the blasts, police said.
Following the explosion, the blast sites and surrounding areas were immediately shut down by the police and the injured were taken to the hospital.
Police suspect the involvement of Maoist splinter groups after pamphlets were found nearby where one of the explosions took place. Security personnel were put on high alert and many were guarding the main areas of Kathmandu.
The same alleged group has carried out an explosion in February which killed one person in Nepal’s capital.
