6 bandh supporters involved in attacking vehicles at Dabaka arrested

The 24-hour bandh called by AAMTA on June 04 was observed across Assam as public transport stayed off the roads.

Bandh supporters, however, took to the roads and attacked private vehicles at Dabaka along with pelting stones at trucks.

After analysing a video clip of the Dabaka stone pelting incident, the police identified some of the picketers and conducted a search operation last night.

The Police has apprehended six individuals in relation to the incident. They have been identified as Md Saidul Hoque, Md Insmuddin, Md Abdul Malek, Md Arifuddin, Md Asiruddin and Md Baharuddin.

They have accepted their presence on the spot, officials informed. Interrogation is going on to identify other picketers.
