690 COVID-19 patients have been discharged today in Assam. With this, the total number of discharged patients in the state stands at 7433, and that of active patients at 3551. The virus has infected a total of 11001 people in the state.
These figures have been shared by Health Minister of Assam Himanta Biswa Sarma on Sunday evening. Taking to twitter, he wrote, “Even as the numbers rise, there is a silver lining as well. Glad to share that 690 more patients have been discharged today. My best wishes.”
Earlier in the day, the Minister, in a press meet, alluded to the possibility of another lockdown in Guwahati if the situation doesn’t improve. The city alone detected around 800 positive cases on Saturday.
