Karpun Patir who is the son of Ex-minister Sumitra Patir has resigned from the post of Udalguri's election officer.
On August 19, the ACS officer submitted resignation letter to the Udalguri Deputy Commissioner as his mother's ailing health condition.
Earlier, a list of tainted officers had been published in media and ACS Karpun Patir's name had included in the list of cash-for-job scam in APSC. He has allegedly involved in APSC scam, as per source.
