After air strikes, India test-fires two missiles

Hours after India conducted pre-dawn surgical strike in Pakistan knocking off terror camps and launch pads using a squadron of Mirage and 1000 kilograms of bombs, the country also successfully test fired two missiles from a test range off the coast of Odisha.

The missiles have been test-fire by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). The air defence system, Quick Reaction Surface-to-Air Missile (QRSAM) was test fired from a rotatable truck-based launch unit in Odisha's Balasore district, which are being developed for the Army.

The missile is all-weather; all-terrain missile with electronic counter measures against jamming by aircraft radars. The missiles can be mounted on a truck and are stored in canisters. QRSAM uses solid-fuel propellant and has a range of 25-30 km.
