AGP breaks ties with BJP

AGP President Atul Bora in an official statement in New Delhi has announced that AGP is no longer in alliance with BJP.

A group of AGP leaders led by party President Atul Bora had gone to meet Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh at his official residence. It was only after this meeting that the party announced its decision of parting ways with BJP.

According to reports, after Cabinet had approved JPC’s report, Rajnath Singh said, “CAB will be passed in the Lok Sabha tomorrow”.

After the meeting the AGP leaders stated that after so much there is no question of staying in alliance with BJP.

The group comprises of Keshab Mahanta, Phani Bhushan Choudhury, Ramendra Narayan Kalita and Birendra Prasad Baishya.
