Aircraft flies over INDvSL match with “Justice for Kashmir” banner

An aircraft was seen flying over the Headingley stadium during the 44th Match of the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 on Saturday. The aircraft unfurled banners reading “India stop genocide & free Kashmir” and “#JusticeforKashmir”.

It may be mentioned here that it was the second such incident during the tournament as a banner was flown over the same ground in Leeds during last week’s match between Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Meanwhile, ICC issued a statement following the incident that said, “We are incredibly disappointed this has happened again. We do not condone any sort of political messages at the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup.”
