AIUDF chief gets ‘Jhatka’ from election results
All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) Chief Badruddin Ajmal today alleged that the results of the Lok Sabha election has given him a ‘Jhatka’(shock) and that the Congress has stabbed him from the front for which they have to stick to one seat instead of three.
Speaking to Pratidintime, AIUDF Chief Badruddin Ajmal said that based on the mutual understanding between the Congress and AIUDF, the later has not fielded candidates in other seats except Dhubri, Barpeta and Karimgang. “In a closed room we had a gentleman agreement in the presence of Harish Rawat where three leaders of Assam Pradesh Congress Committee were also present but the Congress has stabbed me from behind. They had made agreement with BJP,” alleged Ajmal.
He further alleged that NEDA Convener Himanta Biswa Sarma had brought ticket from New Delhi by financing those candidates and it was him who made those candidates win and the Congress High Command was also aware of the fact but didn’t take any step.
Ajmal also stated that the Congress high command should take step against these leaders who had deprived him of winning from the seats.
