Ajay Maken, Gaurav Gogoi quarantined in Manipur, alleges Ram Madhav

After losing the lone Rajya Sabha seat to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Manipur, Indian National Congress (INC) leaders Ajay Maken and Gaurav Gogoi have now been quarantined in the state according to BJP's General Secretary Ram Madhav.

Ram Madhav and Congress leader Ajay Maken have had a Twitter war over the formation of a government in Manipur. Congressmen along with some allies, consulted Manipur Governor Najma Heptullah to form the Secular Progressive Front (SPF). They also requested a special Assembly session for a trust vote.

Ram Madhav in this connection put out a tweet taking a jibe at the INC stating that they couldn't even win a Rajya Sabha seat from the state yet approached the Governor for a majority in the Assembly.

"Their leader Ajay Maken and MP Gaurav Gogoi entered Manipur disregarding Corona guidelines. They have been promptly quarantined by the state health authorities," he alleged in a tweet.

Maken in response claimed with an attached document on Twitter, "No Ram Madhav ji Congress always regards rules & traditions- We came here with permission with full knowledge and booked the quarantine centre in advance. It's a support to the Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee and its people in the fight against a government formed by manipulation against popular votes".
