The general secretary of the All Koch Rajbongshi Students' Union (AKRSU), Gokul Barman has been suspended until further notice on April 20th, 2019. Mukul Baruah,the vice president, AKRSU has also been suspended for his alleged indulgence in "unconstitutional" activities. Arun Kumar Roy, president, AKRSU announced this while addressing a presser at the regional office of the students' body at Kalipukhuri in Kokrajhar.
Meanwhile, the AKRSU has further stated that they would continue to support Independent candidate for the Kokrajhar seat, Naba Kumar Sarania for the general elections.
