All-party Meeting Ahead of Parliament Session

The Opposition met Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union ministers Amit Shah and others on Sunday and broached the issues of economic slowdown, job crisis, and Farooq Abdullah's detention.

As per sources, the Opposition demanded that economic slowdown, job loss, and farm distress be discussed during the upcoming Winter Session of Parliament.

National Conference raked up the issue of party supremo Farooq Abdullah's detention, too, in the meeting with Modi-Shah.

Ahead of Parliament's winter session, an all-party meeting was held in New Delhi which was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP chief Amit Shah and several senior opposition leaders.

At the meeting attended by 27 parties, Prime Minister Modi said most important job of the House is to discuss and debate, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi told reporters.

PM Modi said that this session should also be as productive as the last one, according to Joshi.
