Bollywood actor Ananya Pandey was summoned today by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) for the second consecutive day for questioning in the Aryan Khan drugs-on-cruise case. She was questioned on Thursday as well and was called at 11 am on Friday again for further questioning.
According to reports, the actress has denied supplying drugs to Aryan. She has also reportedly told NCB officials that she has never consumed drugs in her life. "Ananya denied the supply related talks in the chat conversation and told the NCB officials that she has never consumed or supplied the drugs", ANI reported citing NCB officials.
Ananya has also claimed that the WhatsApp chats were she promised to arrange 'Gaanja' for Aryan were meant as a joke, according to reports. Ananya is being questioned as her name popped up in Aryan Khan's chats, according to NCB officials. The chats reportedly indicate that Ananya provided Aryan with numbers of drug dealers, thrice in 2018-19, according to ANI. The two are also known to be childhood friends.
NCB officials on Thursday clarified that summoning her for interrogations does not mean she is an accused. Reports said that Ananya has been summoned for a second day to record her statement as it was getting late on Thursday. She has failed to appear in time on both days.
Ananya Pandey was questioned about Aryan Khan's drug consumption, whether she consumed drugs, whether she arranged drugs for Aryan, etc. Ananya has reportedly denied any link with drugs.
Ananya Pandey's questioning in Aryan Khan drugs-on-cruise case which now involves 20 arrests, is important as it includes those chats that NCB opposed Aryan's bail plea with claiming Aryan was not new to drugs.
