In a horrific incident, a girl was attacked with acid in Kaliabar of Nagaon district in Assam.
The incident took place in Kaliabar's Sarishabari when the girl along with her mother and brother were returning home from a Durga Puja Pandal. The family was severely injured in the attack and were immediately rushed to Nagaon Civil Hospital. The terrifying incident occurred at the wee hours of Thursday.
The attacker, Sanjay Sarkar escaped the location after the incident.
As per reports, Sanjay attacked the girl as she didn't accept his love proposal.
The locals have demanded justice for the girl and her family and urged the police to nab the criminal immediately.
In a similar incident, a girl was attacked with acid in Banderdewa of Lakhimpur district in Assam on October 8th.
The incident took place in Banderdewa's Pathali Pahar where the girl resides. She was on her way back from college when she was suddenly attacked by the unidentified youth.
