Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) President and Rajya Sabha MP Ripun Bora has been suspended from the ongoing session of the Upper House of the Parliament on Sunday for creating a ruckus over the farm bills.
Other than Bora, seven other MPs have also been suspended from the Rajya Sabha house for misbehaving with the Deputy Chairman Harivansh. The other MPs are Derek O Brien, Sanjay Singh, Raju Satav, KK Ragesh, Dola Sen, Syed Nazir Hussain and Elamaran Karim.
Condemning the misbehavior of the MPs, Rajya Sabha Chairman Venkaiah Naidu said that it was a bad day for the Upper House of the Parliament.
Naidu further stated that the MPs even physically threatened the Deputy Chairman adding that he was obstructed from doing his duty. This is unfortunate and condemnable, said Naidu. He also suggested the MPs to do some introspection.
