After the dismissal of 13 arrested ACS and APS officers involved in the APSC Cash for Job scam, investigating officer and Additional SP of Dibrugarh Additional SP Surjeet Singh Panesar has asked permission from a special court to conduct interrogation of the 33 officials accused in the scam in presence of prime accused Rakeh Paul.
Once the permission is granted, interrogation shall be conducted at Guwahati Central Jail where all 33 accused shall be questioned in presence of Rakesh Paul.
A highly placed source of Assam Police has also informed that family members of the accused, who were involved in monetary transactions with Rakeh Paul, shall be interrogated too. And as such Congress leaders Nilamani Sen Deka and Nazeen Farooqui might be interrogated too.
Dibrugarh Police has already initiated steps to interrogate family members of the accused. Not only the Police, there are possibilities that they might be interrogated by the CBI and Enforcement Directorate too.
