Of the 50 applicants, a total of 24 candidates contesting in the second phase of the Assam Assembly polls have not completed their graduation.
According to a report compiled by the Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR), six have not even studied until Class X. Lienkhochon (Autonomous District) from National People’s Party and 3 other independent — Hiralal Rabidas (Karimganj), Rabindra Chandra Das (Karimganj) and Mohendra Chandra Das (Silchar) — have studied until the 8th standard. While Ramnarayan Suklabaidya, an independent candidate from Karimganj, declared himself of finding out up to the 5th standard, Sabindra Das contesting from Silchar seat used to be found to be studied until magnificence III, mentioned their affidavits.
There are 11 candidates in the second phase who have assets more than Rs one crore.

3. Pradyut Bordoloi – 7 Cr. 41 lakh
4. Rupak Sharma – 6 Cr. 27 lakh
5. Holiram Terang (Autonomous) – 5 Cr. 37 lakh
