Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma taking to Twitter, said, Assam has recorded fresh 1018 COVID-19 cases on Sunday, taking the State's active cases tally to 7916.
Out of the 1018 active cases recorded 577cases were from Guwahati city.
The total number of cases as of date is 23999 and recovered cases stand at 19023. So far 57 deaths have been reported according to the data of the Death Audit Board.
The minister has stressed on following the containment measures.
Meanwhile, Guwahati begins its Unlock.1 phase from Monday onward.
