Assam registered another death of COVID-19 on Tuesday. The death toll due to the coronavirus pandemic has reached 12, informed state health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma through his twitter handle.
The person identified as Dilip Talukdar of Fatasil Ambari was brought dead at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) on June 22.
The person tested positive of COVID-19 after his death.
The minister in his tweet said, "I am sad to inform that 50-yr-old Mr Dilip Talukdar of Fatasil Ambari, Guwahati was brought dead to GMCH on June 22. Subsequently, he was tested positive for #COVID19. With this our death toll goes up to12."
