"The Task Force will keep an eye on the price of onion which will be sold at Rs. 50 per kg in wholesale rate. The customers will be able to buy onions at Rs. 56/57 per kg. The government will also fix the price of vegetables in the Pamohi market from today and the unregistered markets will also have to follow the same price list for vegetables," the Minister added.

Speaking on the price rise of onion, the minister said that as the onions have to be bought from outside the state, the price has increased adding that from now onwards, onions will be sold at Rs. 35 per kg in 9000 cooperative shops across the state. He said that the government has already bought 6000 metric tonne of onions.
