Assam on Wednesday recorded 3,386 new cases of coronavirus, taking the active caseload to 38,306. The positivity rate today is 2.60 per cent.
Moreover, 36 deaths have been reported, while, 4,881 persons have been discharged.
The overall tally of the state is 4,66,590.
The highest cases have been reported from the following districts: Sonitpur (282), Jorhat (205), Cachar (224), and Tinsukia (244).
The recoveries of the state has touched 4,26,378 with a recovery rate of 90.70 per cent.
The district wise deaths: Tinsukia (5), Kamrup Metro (3), Sonitpur (3), Barpeta (2), Cachar (2), Dibrugarh (2), Kamrup Rural (2), Karbi Anglong (2), Lakhimpur (1), Nagaon (2), Morigaon (2), Dhemaji (1), Dhubri (1), Chirang (1), Darrang (1), Hailakandi (1), Sivasagar (1), Karimganj (1), Biswanath (1), and Udalguri (2).
