Assam TET question paper goes viral

Despite all precautions and strict security, the question paper of Teachers' Eligibility Test (Primary and Upper Primary) in the state was reportedly leaked on social media on Sunday minutes after candidates began writing the examination.

The question paper surfaced on WhatsApp in various districts just after the candidates began the exam. A series of photographs and screenshots of the question paper did the rounds on Mobile applications/ social networking sites like WhatsApp and Facebook.

It may be mentioned that for smooth conduct of the TET examination 2019 the Education Department had informed that candidates will not be allowed to carry any electronic communication device including mobile phones, pagers, Bluetooth, earphones, and tablets.

This year, a total of 2,30,482 candidates have applied for Lower Primary TET examination and 1,66,079 candidates have applied for Upper Primary TET examination.

The Education Department had asked the police department to deploy adequate security personnel and ensure frisking arrangements at the entry point of each exam centre and escort party during transit of exam materials.
