The governmenthas decided to construct the ropeway from Biswanath Ghat to Umatumani River Islandto attract the tourists.
Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma inspected the area from Biswanath Ghat to Umatumoni Island along with high-level officers of PWD and examined the area for construction of ropeway. A team of experts has also visited the area to examine the place.
Inspecting the area, Minister Sarma said that the work for the ropeway will be started once the district administration will complete the land-related work. He also said that an organization from Kolkata has already finished its survey on the ropeway.
