The death of a B.Tech student of Institute of Science and Techonology have sparked tension at Gauhati University on Friday.
The student named Himangshu Neog of 3rd Semester Electronics And Communication department allegedly died due to the negligence and absence of experienced doctors at Gauhati University Hospital.
The student lost his control and fell on the ground severely injuring his head on Thursday. He was taken to Gauhati University hospital but was later referred to Mahendra Mohan Choudhury Hospital. The student was declared dead midway.
The students locked up Gauhati University Hospital and demanded immediate a probe of the incident.
