The prohibition notification issued earlier prohibiting the manufacture, storage, distribution and sale of bottled mineral water of Bisleri brand (with added minerals) in Assam has been withdrawn.
Earlier, the Commissionerate of Food Safety, Assam declared the packaged drinking water (with added minerals) produced and marketed by the Bisleri brand as unsafe in terms of provisions of Section 3(1) of the Food Safety and Standards Act 2006.
