With the HSLC results declared today, the pass percentage saw a relative increase of 4.19 percent in comparison to the previous year’s 56.04 percent. Moreover, 39 candidates have been able to secure a place within the 10 ranks.
Meanwhile, the students of the Bhauri Devi Sarawgi (BDS) Deaf and Dumb School in Kahilipara have been able to showcase bright results. 30 students of the school who had appeared in the exam this year, 10 students secured first division, 17 students secured second division and 3 students secured third division.
It should be noted that, Hiya Dutta, a student from the school, scored state highest marks in Textile Designing. Another student, Abhinandan Goswami, who also has a black belt in martial arts, scored 72%. The Government BDS Deaf and Dumb School was established in 1949. Notably, it has been catering to the educational requirements of the differently-abled students of the State.
