Bharat Darshan trips for NE

TheIndian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Ltd (IRCTC) – a Government ofIndia enterprise under the Ministry of Railways, has decided to operate threeBharat Darshan trips for the people of the North East this year.

Thefirst trip will commence from Guwahati and cover the religious circuit ofHaridwar-Rishikesh-Mathura.

The first trip is scheduled to start from theGuwahati Railway Station on August 26. The entire trip will be of eight days'duration.

The above places are rich in religiousheritage and it is expected that people of the Northeast would cherish to visitthose places. This trip is suited best for the people who desire to take a dipin the holy river Ganga. Tourists will be taken for sightseeing of Ganga Aartiin Har-Ki-Pauri, Lakshman Temple, Lakshman Jhula and Ram Jhula, and KashiVishwanath Temple. The cost payable by the passengers for availing this triphas been fixed at a very nominal price of Rs 8,505 per person.

The second trip of the Bharat Darshantourist train for people of the North East is scheduled from the AgartalaRailway Station on November 3. It will cover Mata Vaishno Devi and Amritsar. Theduration of the trip will be of 10 nights and 11 days with the cost fixed at Rs10,395 per person. Those who book the trip will be taken to the Vaishno Devishrine, along with Golden Temple, Jallianwala Bagh and also to witness theBeating Retreat Ceremony at the Wagah Border.

The third trip will cover Puri and Konark.The trip will start from the Dibrugarh Railway Station on December 4 and willbe of duration of seven nights and eight days with halts at Guwahati, NewBongaigaon, New Cooch Behar, New Jalpaiguri and Malda Town for boarding andde-boarding. Those who join the trip will be taken to the Jagannath Dham, thePuri beach and the World Heritage Site of the Sun Temple at Konark. The cost ofthe trip per person is Rs 8,505.

The tickets for the same can be booked at Regionl Office of IRCTC Ltd.,4D Mandovi Apartments (Opp Rabindra Bhaban), GNB Road, Ambari, Guwahati. Onlinetickets can also be booked directly through the website, www.irctctourism.com> Tourist Trains > Bharat Darshan > Book Now. The tickets for the samecan also be booked through Authorized e-ticket agents of IRCTC. These ticketswill not be available at Railway Reservation Counters.
