Polling has been underway in five parliamentary constituencies of Assam; Tezpur, Kaliabor, Jorhat, Dibrugarh and Lakhimpur.
Here are the key fights in these constituencies:
Tezpur: As many as 7 candidates are in the fray for the Tezpur Lok Sabha constituency. BJP candidate and Assam minister Pallab Lochan Das is contesting from the seat against Congress' MGVK Bhanu.
Kaliabor: In Kaliabor, there are also 7 candidates in the fray for the seat. Congress' sitting MP Gaurav Gogoi is fighting against AGP's Moni Madhab Mahanta for the seat.
Jorhat: There are 8 candidates in the fray for the Jorhat Lok Sabha seat. BJP candidate and Assam Minister Topon Kumar Gogoi is contesting against Congress' Sushanta Borgohain for the Jorhat seat.
Dibrugarh: In Dibrugarh, there are also 8 candidates in the fray for the seat. BJP's sitting MP Rameswar Teli is contesting against Congress' Paban Singh Ghatowar.
Lakhimpur: As many as 11 candidates are in the fray for the Lakhimpur Lok Sabha constituency. Congress' Anil Borgohain is fighting for the seat against sitting BJP MP Pradan Baruah.
