The District Jail, Biswanath Chariali, Assam on Sunday successfully concluded the 1 month "Sweat to Sweet" program of prison fitness camp on Yoga and Meditation.
The jailor Sri Rabi Ram Ingti of District Jail Biswanath had sincerely conducted the whole yoga session from 6 am to 8 am everyday for boosting physical and mental health and develop immune system of the prisoners.
The closing function of the fitness camp was graced by the presence of Sri Biswajit Saikia, ACS SDO-Biswanath cum Superintendent (I/C) of Jail, Doctor of the Biswanath Jail Dr. Ranjit Das and resource persons Biplab Bhattacharjee and Sri Dilip Kakoti, SDJM Court-Gohpur.
The Jail Authority also conducted a "Compound Cleanliness Drive" program to clean the Jail Compound. The cleanliness drive was made successful with the participation of the honourable guests and Jail staff families after the completion of the fitness camp program.
It needs to be mentioned that the Biswanath Chariali District Jail has been doing several programs and environmental projects with the help of the Jail Staff and also the inmates.
Previously, under the supervision and lead of Jailor Rabi Ram Ingti, the Biswanath Jail organised Medicinal plantation program in the Jail campus along with cleanliness drive and beautification project.
The enthusiastic attitude and noble initiatives of Jailor Rabi Ram Ingti has made the Jail Compound of Biswanath Chariali nothing less beautiful and natural than a park.
