In one of the most interesting political stories of the recent times, the members of Kashmir unit of BJP have changed the colour of the party to green from usual saffron. To attract the voters, the party leaders have used green colour as a medium in the advertisement published in the local newspapers.
The BJP Srinagar candidate, Khalid Jehangir has issued an all-green advertisement, which was published in both Urdu and English.
However, the BJP spokesperson of the State said that there was nothing surprising and that no attempt had been made to exploit the people's preference for green. "Green is one of the colours of our party flag as well. We have used green only because it symbolises peace and development," a BJP leader of the State was quoted by The Telegraph as saying. "It is also a sign of victory," said the leader.
