The Poll of the Opinion Poll suggested that BJP led NDA allies will scrap through to form the next government.
This finding is based on the average of the opinions polls conducted by various agencies between March and April 2019.
The Poll of the Opinion Poll suggested 274 seats for NDA, just two seats more than the halfway mark of 272 in the 543 members strong Lok Sabha.
The Opinion Polls also suggested that the Congress will improve and may double the seats but that will be 88 and the NA as a whole will win 140 seats.
However the other parties and independents predicted to win 129 seats, may become an important factor. The big gainers of this block will be SP,BSP, TRS, and YSR Congress.
The first phase of the poll will start from April 11 next and the results will be declared on May 23.
