With rising attacks on legislators, a explosion near the residence of BJP MLA Leishangthem Susindro Meitei at Khurai Sajor Leikai in Manipur's east Imphal has stirred sensation on Thursday.
As per police sources, the bomb exploded in the afternoon near the backyard of the MLA residence, which comes under the jurisdiction of Porompat Police Station.
It has been informed that there have been no casualties in the blast.
It may also be noted that no militant outfit has claimed responsibility for the incident yet. A police case has been registered in connection with the incident and investigation is on.
