Bomb scare! North East Express halted in Aligarh

A bomb threat to the daily superfast train of Indian Railways 'North East Express' – which runs between Guwahati and Anand Vihar near New Delhi turned out to be a hoax on Thursday late evening.

On being informed about a possible bomb threat, the train had stopped in Aligarh Junction railway station after which RPF, GRPF rushed to the site with Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) and sniffer dogs. A combing operation was carried out by pressing sniffer dogs into service, and after inspection, the train was declared as SAFE.
