The entire state of Assam has geared up to celebrate the IndependenceDay along with the rest of the country but there are still some people who donot know about Independence Day.
The people residing in BhadraGaon relief camp in Bongaigaon district is not aware of Independence Day.
It is almost 30 years that people from Chirang district are stillresiding in the relief camp. They had shifted to the camps after the BodoMovement in order to save their lives. They might have not even thought thatthey would have to live in the relief camps for so long at the time of displacement.
On the one hand, the state government is celebrating Independence Dayand on the other, these people have no idea about the I-Day.
Are they really independent, who don't even have their own house tolive in, no income to earn their bread and butter. The people expressed angerover the government who don't even have idea about them who is living in thecamps for not one or two years but for almost 30 years.
The people alleged that the government has not provided any kind ofassistance and now they have to think even for one-time food.
