TheNortheast Frontier Railway has canceled trains excluding Barak Valley amid therising tensed situation that prevails in Assam and other parts of Northeast inprotest against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act.
The NFR has canceled all the intercity train service and all the trains traveling to Kolkata and South India have also been canceled, informed Public Relations Officer of NFR, Nripen Bhattacharyya.
The passengers are seen stranded on the railway stations and have faced problems due to the cancellation of the trains. They don't have any other option than to stay on the stations till further notification of train services.
