The loss of the Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) was defeat for Assam and 17 Assembly constituencies of Assam would now go to the control of the Bangladeshi Muslims, said Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma.
Reacting to the Rajya Sabha development, he cornered that today's development could no be considered victory by any standard and his party will remain committed for the issue and will come back with the bill if elected again.
He categorically said that of CAB was not in place then by 2022, Assam will be controlled by Bangladeshi Muslims. But it seems that there are few takers as thousand of people come out to the street spontaneity to dance and sing for the loss of the CAB in the Rajya Sabha.
