The political parties of the North East India are meeting tomorrow at Guwahati to discuss on the Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) and its fall out, creating flutter amongst the BJP as most of them are NDA constitutent.
As the protest against CAB has spread it from Assam to the other North Eastern Side and with Mizoram going to the extreme, the meeting assumed great significance.
The meeting was convened by Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma. Most of these political parties are constituent of the North Eastern Democratic Alliance (NEDA), the meeting assumed greater significance.
The BJP is trying to convince the constituents but the political parties of the region are nervous, as the CAB protest has reached alarming proportions bordering alienation.
