During an operation carried out by the GRP, 10 kg of cannabis have seized fromthe Tinsukia-Lalgarh (Down) Abadh Assam Express in Lumding Railway Station onTuesday night.
As per reports, based on a source information police carried out theoperation where they could arrest one accused identified as Abhijit Das, residentof Lumding. Moreover, police have seized a huge amount of Indian currency fromthe accused.
It may be stated that the accused have already confessed that he used to smuggle cannabis from Dimapur to Lumding in exchange for money.
Police have already registered a case in this regard and started continuous interrogation for more updates.
