Cattle Syndicate Rising Unabated in Assam

The cattle syndicate in the state iscontinued unabated and the cases are rising day by day. It has also come tonotice that the cow smugglers have a secret understanding with the police andtherefore, it becomes easy for them to smuggle cows to the neighbouringcountries.

In Nagaon, locals seized three cattle ladentrucks on Wednesday night and detained seven persons and handed over to the police.

The trucks bearing number ML11-7720, NL02 L6407 and NL01M 9912 were carrying the cows from Meghalaya to Bangladesh.

On the other hand, the cattle syndicate isstill continued in the Indo-Bangla border at Mancachar in South Salmara. It hasalso been alleged that the police are also involved in the syndicate for whichthe smuggler easily smuggled the cows.

It may be mentioned here that the income rate under the present government has increased by manifolds. Earlier the income was in the house of lakhs, however, presently it goes up to several crores of rupees.
It has been alleged that the various departments like police, transport and animal husbandry are patronizing these illegal movement of cattle from Assam to Bangladesh in return of some lakhs and crores of rupees given by the cattle smugglers.
