CBI books Ex-Arunachal CM Nabam Tuki

Two-time former Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister NabamTuki was booked by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). The CBI on Fridayinformed that Tuki was booked for alleged corruption in awarding a contract fora government project to his brother in 2003.

Earlier, his brother Nabam Tagam, the then director civil supplies, and the then chief manager United Commercial Bank Sohrab Ali Hazarika have also been booked.

According to CBI, the contract worth Rs 3.20 crore wasgiven without following tender norms when Tuki was the minister of consumeraffairs and civil supplies in the State.

Nabam Tuki was the chief minister of the State during 2011-16.
